Sesame Asparagus
Ingredients
- 1 bunch asparagus, sliced into half inches
- 3oz (100g) beansprouts
- 1 small red pepper
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp minced shallot
- Juice of freshly squeezed lime
Method
In a frying pan, heat the sesame oil until it is smoking. Quickly add the sesame seeds, asparagus, ginger, shallot and garlic and stir -fry for about 1 minute. Add the beansprouts and pepper and stir –fry for another minute. Remove from heat and add soy sauce and lime juice. Toss thoroughly and serve. Delicious with crusty granary bread
