Our fruit of the month is the PEAR, which ripens faster if it is kept next to bananas. Keep pears in the fridge to help them stay fresher for longer. Pears are rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, E1, copper and potassium. They can be useful in treating a number of disorders, including arthritis and gout. Pears can also be beneficial in lowering high blood pressure and helping to control cholesterol.
